History

Darende Bekir Ilıcak Vocational College was established in accordance with the letter of the Council of Higher Education dated 27.03.1997 and numbered 585 and at the meeting of the Higher Education General Assembly on 21.04.1997 in accordance with the letter 7/d-2 of the Law No. 2547. It was opened under the name of Darende Mustafa-İclal Başer Vocational School and was engaged in educational activities between 1997-2001. The name of our college was changed as Darende Vocational School with the Higher Education General Assembly Meeting and the letter numbered 2574 of the Higher Education Council, dated 13.05.2010 and then it was changed to Darende DASEV Vocational School with the Higher Education General Assembly Meeting and letter no 3308 dated 05.05.2011. Finally, it was changed to Darende Bekir Ilıcak Vocational School with the Higher Education General Assembly Meeting and the letter number 5324 dated 09.08.2012. Our college continues its educational activities with the same name by connecting to Malatya Turgut Özal University with the Decree of Higher Education Law No. 7141 published in the Official Gazette dated May 18, 2018.
